Our Company:
Carden Machine Shop was founded by Oliver Richard Carden and Wilder L. Carden in 1956. Richard was the main driving
force. The original site was a chicken shed in St. Louis County, Missouri, and then moved to North Broadway in St. Louis,
Missouri.
They moved to their present location in Sullivan, Missouri in 1965. In 1978, Richard Carden started his own metal
finishing (processing) company, which was later sold in 1995. Early in 2006, Richard, due to health concerns, turned
the company over to his stepson, Butch Colon Moore, an honorably discharged disabled veteran. Along with Lois Carden,
Richard's wife, Butch and Lois run the company with oversight by Richard.
Carden Machine Shop, Inc. has been in business for over 50 years and plans on continuing well into the future.
